Page31TV dropped a new video from URL’s Armageddon event, where they asked many of the battlers about mainstream artists doing a battle.
A few of of them spoke on the Meek Mill situation specifically, and others were asked about mainstream artists as a whole. In both cases, they universally said that it would be a bad idea.
Dizaster, DNA, X-Factor, Yung Ill, Tsu Surf, Calicoe, Conceited, Math Hoffa and Smack himself all give their opinions on the subject.
Dizaster talks about having the money ready within 24 hours of the day that Meek Mill said he’d do a battle for $100K, and that they made excuses.
DNA has a similar story, saying he put together the money, and never heard back from them.
Tsu Surf said that Meek Mill more or less admitted to him that he doesn’t really want to battle, and that he was doing it for record sales.
Yung Ill says that any of them would get killed, and warns them not to do it. He also lets them know that if any one of them wants to make a bet, the money would be there to do it.
Calicoe has a similar sentiment when asked, saying that battlers are the best lyricists in the world, and with the exception of Eminem, they’d all get killed.
Conceited dares them to do it, and says they can’t come over here and do what battlers do, but also acknowledges that most battlers wouldn’t be able to do the same with what they do.
