With so much going on in the world of battle rap lately, it can be hard to keep up with all of the latest information. Kenny “The Jet” Smith Follows Battle Rap

We know that many of hip hop’s biggest stars made their presence known at URL’s Summer Madness 2, and even that many NBA stars are fans of battle rap, including Kevin Durant and Amare Stoudamire. It still came as a bit of a surprise to many, when former Houston Rocket and TNT announcer Kenny “The Jet” Smith asked for results from Summer Madness 2. Someone was even kind enough to tweet him a link to our news section, so he could take a look at our results.


Big Moves Ahead For URL?

This isn’t really news, at least not yet. But here’s a few interesting tweets from URL, following the huge success of their Summer Madness 2 event. This could mean anything, and there’s no way to know for sure what it’s alluding to. That said, with P Diddy’s involvement at Summer Madness 2, the recent inclusion of Ciroc ads on URL’s website, and the announcement in February that Diddy would be starting his own TV channel, there’s a decent chance that these tweets could be leading up to an announcement that would tie all of that together.


King Of The Dot

Next KOTD Event Starting To Take Shape

The Semi-Finals of the 2012 Grand Prix will be going down in Toronto, on September 29th, and a few battles have already been announced for the event. Announced so far is Arcane vs 100 Bulletz, Caustic vs Chedda Cheese, PoRich vs Uno Lavoz & Sun Tzu vs Luciano Crakk.


The Saurus Next On BET’s Freestyle Friday?

Following Charron’s recent success on BET’s Freestyle Friday, King Of The Dot made it known that they intend to push for The Saurus to be the next battler rapper to appear on the show.


KOTD Becomes Most Subscribed League In North America

After passing up Grind Time Now as the most subscribed battle league in North America, King of the Dot sent this tweet out. KOTD is now only second to FlipTop in the Philippines, for YouTube subscribers.


PH Done With King Of The Dot

Following his impressive run towards a title shot in King Of The Dot, PH has decided to part ways with the Canadian battle league. While he makes it clear that there would be a few exceptions, under the right circumstances, he has every intention of taking an extended break. He does make it clear that he has nothing but respect for KOTD and its staff, and that he’ll be parting ways on good terms.


Bender vs Charlie Clips At Blackout 3?

Bender announced on twitter, that he’s interested in battling Charlie Clips at KOTD’s Blackout 3 event. While nothing has been confirmed, Charlie Clips has mentioned in the past, that he’d be interested in making the trip up to Canada for a King of the Dot event.

Summer Madness 2 wasn’t the only battle related subject to trend on twitter last week. Deffinition started up the hashtag #AimsOfADontFlopGroupie, and it not only started trending in the UK, but globally.
